Dr. Alex Campbell opened Lynden Animal Clinic in the early 1960's.

Even though his initial emphasis was on horses, he treated all types of pets, establishing Lynden Animal Clinic as a mixed animal practice.

In 1974 Dr. Campbell took on Dr. Edward Fritsch as an associate, then in 1977 he sold the clinic to Dr. Fritsch.
While studying to become a doctor of veterinary medicine in Guelph University, Brent Babcock began volunteering here at the clinic. Upon graduating in 1987, Dr. Babcock was hired as an associate and went on to become a partner in 1991.

In August of 2005 Dr. Babcock bought the remaining part of the practice from Dr. Fritsch and became the sole owner of the clinic. To adapt to the changing needs in Lynden and the surrounding area, in April 2005 Lynden Animal Clinic stopped doing mixed animal practice to concentrate on small animal medicine and surgery.

From its rural beginnings, through to the present day Lynden Animal Clinic strives to do the best for your pets, in a relaxed country atmosphere, while continuing to offer the latest options available in modern veterinary medicine and technology.
